SPARTUS Ultra 1000 with Ultra X air supply system is an advanced protective set combining the functionality of a welding helmet with a flip-up auto-darkening filter and an efficient powered air filtration system. Flip-up – welding and grinding without removing the helmet

Weld, grind and inspect your work without removing the helmet. The flip-up design allows the auto-darkening filter module to be quickly lifted, revealing a transparent protective lens. This enables the user to switch comfortably between welding, grinding, material preparation and weld inspection without removing the entire helmet.

Combined with the Ultra X system, this solution maintains the supply of filtered air throughout different stages of work, provided that the respiratory protective equipment remains properly fitted and complete. This is particularly practical for tasks requiring frequent changes between operations.

MIX function – smoother transition from dark to light

SPARTUS Ultra 1000 features the MIX function, which improves viewing comfort after welding. Instead of switching abruptly from dark to light, the filter gradually returns to its light state through intermediate shade levels.

This solution helps reduce visual discomfort caused by sudden changes in brightness. The MIX function is particularly useful during spot welding and high-current welding, where frequent changes in light intensity may cause eye fatigue.

Precise arc control and clear visibility of the welding area

The auto-darkening welding filter provides a 100×60 mm viewing area, allowing comfortable observation of the weld pool and the surrounding area. The DIN 3 light state makes it easier to position the electrode, align workpieces and prepare for welding.

When the arc is struck, four sensors activate automatic darkening within 1/25 000 s, protecting the eyes from the intense light of the welding arc. The adjustable DIN 9–13 shade range allows the darkness level to be matched to the welding process and its parameters.

The filter also provides continuous UV/IR protection up to DIN 16, regardless of the selected shade level.

Advanced adjustment – control tailored to working conditions

The helmet allows precise adjustment of the filter settings to suit individual operator preferences and workplace conditions:

• DARK – fixed shade mode, in which the filter functions like traditional welding glass with a selected shade level.
• Sensitivity adjustment – allows the sensor response to be adapted to the arc intensity and ambient lighting conditions.
• Four-level delay adjustment – allows the user to set the time before the filter returns to its light state after welding.
• TEST function – allows the filter operation to be checked before starting work.

The internal control panel with buttons and LED indicators provides convenient access to the most important settings.

Ergonomic headgear – comfort tailored to the user

SPARTUS Ultra 1000 features multi-point adjustable headgear, offering four adjustment options: headgear height, head circumference, distance between the filter and the face, and viewing angle.
This design ensures a stable helmet position and allows it to be adjusted to the user's individual needs. Replaceable front and rear sweatbands further enhance comfort during everyday work.

Efficient filtration – effective respiratory protection

The SPARTUS Ultra X air supply system draws in ambient air, passes it through a filtration system and then delivers it into the helmet through a flexible breathing hose.
The multi-stage filtration system includes a spark guard, pre-filter and HEPA main filter with 99.997% filtration efficiency, designed to capture particulate contaminants, including welding fumes and metal dust. The powered flow of filtered air helps protect the respiratory system against specific airborne contaminants while improving user comfort in demanding working environments.

Two airflow levels – comfort adapted to working conditions

The Ultra X system offers two airflow levels: 170 l/min and 210 l/min, allowing the airflow intensity to be adjusted to the user's needs.

• 170 l/min – standard airflow, providing an efficient supply of filtered air and longer battery operating time.
• 210 l/min – increased airflow, designed for applications requiring a higher air supply.

The airflow level can be changed using a single button on the blower unit. This makes the system quick and intuitive to operate, without the need for a complex control panel.

High-performance battery – long operating time and fast charging

Up to 9 hours of operation. Just 1 hour of charging.

SPARTUS Ultra X is equipped with a replaceable lithium-ion battery, allowing extended operation without the need for an external power supply.

The standard battery provides:

• up to 9 hours of operation at 170 l/min airflow,
• 5–6 hours of operation at 210 l/min airflow,
• fast charging in approximately 1 hour,
• a service life of at least 550 charging cycles.

For users requiring even longer operating time, an optional high-capacity battery is available, providing up to 15 hours of operation at 170 l/min airflow.
The replaceable battery design makes charging easier and allows the system configuration to be adapted to different work schedules.

Intelligent warning system – monitoring key parameters

The Ultra X system features three types of warning signals: visual, audible and vibration alerts, notifying the user of conditions that require attention.

Indicators on the unit allow the user to monitor:

• battery charge level,
• filter contamination level,
• current airflow level.

If the filter becomes excessively contaminated or the airflow is restricted, the system activates warning signals. An additional alert indicates a low battery charge level. This solution makes it easier to monitor system operation and respond in time when maintenance is required or work needs to be stopped.

Expandable filtration system

SPARTUS Ultra X allows the filtration system to be adapted to specific working conditions through the use of optional filters.

In addition to the standard HEPA main filter, the following options are available:

• A1, A2, ABE1 and ABEK1 gas filters – designed to provide protection against specific gases and vapours according to their classification.
• Optional activated carbon filter – helps reduce unpleasant odours generated during welding and cutting.

The expandable filtration system allows the equipment to be adapted to different workplace requirements, taking into account the type and concentration of contaminants and approved protective configurations. Gas filters must always be used together with the main filter.
