SPARTUS Ultra 1000 is a modern welding helmet with a flip-up auto-darkening filter, designed to make it easy to switch between welding, grinding and inspecting workpieces. The flip-up design allows the operator to quickly move from welding to preparation and finishing tasks without removing the helmet.

The advanced auto-darkening filter with MIX function, a 100×60 mm viewing area and a DIN 9–13 shade range provides good visibility and allows the settings to be adjusted to the task at hand. The helmet also features adjustable headgear, an intuitive control panel and functions that enhance user comfort.

Flip-up filter – seamless switching between welding and grinding

Weld, grind and inspect your work without removing the helmet. The flip-up design allows the auto-darkening filter module to be raised, revealing a transparent protective lens. This gives the operator a clear view of the workpiece during grinding, material preparation or weld inspection, while maintaining face protection.

This practical solution is particularly useful for tasks that require frequent switching between different operations. A single movement is all it takes to change the working mode – without putting the helmet aside or interrupting the next stages of metalworking.

MIX function – smoother transition from dark to light

SPARTUS Ultra 1000 features the MIX function, which improves viewing comfort after welding. Instead of switching abruptly to the light state, the filter gradually transitions from dark to light through intermediate shade levels.

This solution helps reduce visual discomfort caused by sudden changes in brightness. The MIX function is particularly useful during spot welding and high-current welding, where frequent changes in light intensity can contribute to eye fatigue.

Precise arc control and excellent visibility of the welding area

The auto-darkening welding filter offers a 100×60 mm viewing area, allowing comfortable observation of the weld pool and the surrounding area. The light shade DIN 3 makes it easier to position the electrode, align workpieces and prepare for welding.

When the arc is struck, two sensors activate automatic darkening within 1/25 000 s, protecting the operator's eyes from the intense light of the welding arc. The adjustable DIN 9–13 shade range allows the level of darkening to be matched to the welding process and its parameters.

The filter also provides continuous UV/IR protection up to DIN 16, regardless of the current shade setting.

Greater control with DARK mode and adjustable settings

The helmet allows the filter settings to be adjusted to the operator's individual needs and workplace conditions.

• DARK – a fixed-shade mode in which the filter works like a traditional welding lens at the selected protection level.
• Sensitivity adjustment – allows the sensor response to be adapted to the arc intensity and ambient lighting conditions.
• Four-level delay adjustment – allows the operator to set the time before the filter returns to its light state after welding.
• TEST function – allows the auto-darkening function to be checked before starting work.

The internal control panel with buttons and LED indicators provides convenient access to the filter settings.

Comfort tailored to the operator

SPARTUS Ultra 1000 is equipped with multi-point adjustable headgear, allowing the head circumference, wearing height, distance between the filter and the face, and helmet angle to be adjusted.

Individual adjustment helps ensure a stable helmet position during work. Replaceable front and rear sweatbands provide additional comfort, while solar cells supported by replaceable CR2032 batteries ensure convenient everyday operation.

Versatile applications in welding operations

SPARTUS Ultra 1000 is designed for MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding, plasma cutting and grinding. Thanks to its filter sensitivity, which supports TIG AC/DC welding from as low as 2 A, it is also suitable for precision welding applications at low currents.
