Terms of service
1. Seller
In these terms, “we” and “Weldstore” mean Wels Oy, which sells products in the Weldstore online shop (www.weldstore.fi).

2. Scope of these terms
These terms of service apply to the use of the online shop and to all orders placed in it. You accept the terms when you place an order.
Our separately published shipping policy and returns and cancellation policy also apply. Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data. If the shipping policy or the returns and cancellation policy differ from these terms, they take precedence. These terms do not limit a consumer's rights under mandatory law.
Your order is governed by the terms in force at the time of ordering. We may change the terms, but changes do not apply to orders already placed.
3. Sales area and customers
We sell and deliver products to Finland and the other member states of the European Union. For now, we do not deliver to the Åland Islands, and we do not sell outside the EU. The country menu at checkout shows every country we deliver to.
We sell to businesses and to private individuals of full age. You must be at least 18 years old to order.
A consumer is a natural person who buys a product mainly for purposes other than their business. Consumer sales are governed by the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (38/1978). Sales to business customers are governed by the Finnish Sale of Goods Act (355/1987), and the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Protection Act does not apply to them.
4. Prices and VAT
Prices are in euros and include VAT. The product page also shows the price excluding VAT (VAT 0%) for the information of business customers. The price binding on a consumer is always the price including VAT.
Consumer orders always include Finnish VAT at 25.5%, also when the goods are delivered to another EU country. The final price including VAT is shown at checkout before you pay.
The binding total price is the amount shown at checkout before you confirm your order. It includes the products, VAT and delivery costs. Delivery costs are set out in our shipping policy.
We may change prices and delivery costs, but changes do not apply to orders already confirmed.
Obvious pricing errors. If a price is so obviously wrong that you cannot reasonably assume it to be correct, we may cancel the sale. We will tell you without delay and refund the full amount you have paid.
Business customers in other EU countries. A company registered for VAT in another EU country can order with a VAT-free invoice when the goods are delivered to an EU country other than Finland. This is an intra-Community supply, and you account for the VAT in your own country under the reverse-charge procedure. To do this, order using the invoice form in the cart (“I am ordering as a business and want an invoice”) and give your company's EU VAT number on the form. We check the number in the EU VIES system before invoicing. Orders paid at checkout by card or another online payment method always include VAT.
5. Placing an order and formation of the contract
You order by adding products to your cart and paying for the order at checkout. Before you confirm the order, you will see its contents, the total price including VAT and delivery costs, and the delivery method you chose, and you can correct the details you have entered.
The contract is formed when you have confirmed the order at checkout and we send you an order confirmation by email. The order confirmation is also your receipt. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder and contact us at info@weldstore.fi if needed.
We may cancel an order if the product is not available and no suitable alternative can be found, if the product details or price contain an obvious error, if the order cannot be delivered to the address you gave or if there is reasonable suspicion of misuse. We will let you know and refund your payment in full.
6. Payment methods
The available payment methods are shown at checkout. They may vary depending on the contents of the order and the delivery country.
- Card and mobile wallet payments (for example Visa, Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay) are processed by Shopify Payments. Payment is taken when you order.
- PayPal: payment with your PayPal account. The service is provided by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg), and PayPal's terms also apply to the payment.
- Klarna: the Klarna payment methods shown at checkout. The service is provided by Klarna Bank AB (publ) (Sweden), which may carry out its own credit check, and Klarna's terms apply to the payment.
- Vipps MobilePay: payment with the MobilePay app. The service's own terms also apply to the payment.
- Invoice for business customers: see section 7.
We do not see or store your card details; the payment is processed in the payment service's secure environment. The payment service may appear as the payee on your bank statement.
7. Invoicing for business customers
- Add products to your cart and choose I am ordering as a business and want an invoice on the cart page. The contents of your cart are sent with the form, and your cart is not emptied.
- On the form you give the company name, Business ID, contact person and contact details, delivery address and e-invoicing details.
- An invoice request is not yet a binding order and does not reserve any products. We confirm availability, delivery time and the final price including delivery. The contract is formed when we send an order confirmation.
- New business customers receive a prepayment invoice, and the goods are shipped once it has been paid. Established customers are given 10–14 days to pay.
- We do not charge an invoicing fee and do not carry out credit checks.
- Invoices are sent as e-invoices or, if you do not have an e-invoicing address, by email.
We may also ask an established customer for prepayment, or decline to invoice, if there is reasonable doubt about the customer's ability to pay. If payment is late, we charge interest on late payment under the Finnish Interest Act and collection costs.
8. Delivery
Delivery methods, delivery costs and delivery times are set out in our shipping policy. The delivery cost is always shown at checkout before you pay. An order may arrive in more than one shipment.
If delivery is substantially delayed, we will contact you. As a consumer, you may set a reasonable additional period and cancel the purchase if the product is not delivered within it.
9. Ownership and risk
Ownership of the product passes to you when the purchase price has been paid in full. This applies in particular to invoice orders.
As a consumer, you bear the risk of loss of or damage to the product only once it has been handed over to you. During transport, the risk remains with us.
In sales to business customers, the risk passes to the buyer when the product has been handed over to the carrier, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Check the shipment when you receive it. Let us know as soon as possible about transport damage or missing products. If the damage is visible on the packaging, also report it to the carrier.
10. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Chapter 6 of the Consumer Protection Act. The withdrawal period starts when you have received the goods. If your order is delivered in several shipments, the period starts only when you have received the last shipment.
Withdrawal function. Every page of the online shop has a “Withdraw from contract” button in the bottom left-hand corner, which opens the withdrawal function. It is available throughout the withdrawal period. In the function you give your name, details identifying your order (for example the order number) and the email address to which the confirmation will be sent, and you confirm the submission separately. On the Finnish page the button reads “Peruuta sopimus” and on the Swedish page “Frånträd avtalet”. We will send you, without undue delay, a confirmation by email stating the content of your withdrawal and the date and time it was submitted.
You can also withdraw using the model withdrawal form or any other clear statement, for example by email to info@weldstore.fi.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made or modified to your specifications, such as hoses and cables cut to length or garments printed with your own text or image. Nor does it apply to sealed goods which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
The conditions of withdrawal, return costs, refunds, the withdrawal instructions and the model withdrawal form are set out in our returns and cancellation policy.
11. Liability for defects and warranty
We are liable for defects in the products we sell under Chapter 5 of the Consumer Protection Act and, for business customers, under the Sale of Goods Act. Make your complaint by email to info@weldstore.fi within a reasonable time of discovering the defect or of when you should have discovered it. Please give your order number, your contact details and as precise a description of the defect as you can.
Products carry the manufacturer's or importer's warranty as stated on the product page or in the product documentation. Weldstore does not give an additional warranty of its own. A warranty does not limit your statutory rights, and our liability for defects applies regardless of any warranty.
More detailed instructions are in our returns and cancellation policy.
12. Product information, availability and use
We aim to keep product information, images and availability details accurate. The information is partly based on data from manufacturers and suppliers. Images are illustrative, and colours or accessories may not match the delivered product in every detail. Manufacturers may change a product's technical specifications.
We update availability details regularly, but a product may sell out after you have ordered. We will then contact you, and you can wait, choose an equivalent product or cancel the order. If you cancel, we will refund the full amount including delivery.
Welding and metalworking equipment requires suitable protective equipment and adequate skills to be used safely. Use the products in line with the manufacturer's instructions and occupational safety rules. Some products are intended for professional use.
13. Force majeure
We are not liable for delay or damage caused by an impediment beyond our control that we could not reasonably have taken into account, such as action by the authorities, a strike, interruption of transport, fire, a natural phenomenon or a disruption to telecommunications or payment systems. We will tell you without delay about the impediment and its expected duration. This does not limit a consumer's right to cancel the purchase if delivery is substantially delayed.
14. Personal data
We process personal data to deliver orders, provide customer service and meet our legal obligations. Details needed for delivery are passed to suppliers and carriers only as far as delivery requires. Our privacy policy gives more information.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms and contracts made in the online shop are governed by Finnish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you still keep the protection given by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first at info@weldstore.fi. If we cannot agree, as a consumer you may refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Before doing so, it is advisable to contact the consumer advisory service of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (www.kkv.fi). Consumers living in another EU country can get advice from the European Consumer Centre in their country (in Finland www.ecc.fi). A consumer may also bring a claim before the court of their place of residence.
Disputes with business customers are settled in the Eastern Uusimaa District Court.
16. Validity
These terms apply from 29 September 2026 and replace the terms in force from 15 December 2018.
