Refund policy

This policy explains how to withdraw from an order placed in the Weldstore online shop, how to return a product, what to do if a product is faulty and what the warranty means. The seller is Wels Oy (Weldstore), Business ID 2946792-3.

Consumers and business customers are treated differently. A consumer is a natural person who buys a product mainly for purposes other than their business. If you order on behalf of a company, association or other organisation, for example with a Business ID or using the invoice form in the cart, you are a business customer and do not have the 14-day right of withdrawal described below. See Business customers.

Consumers' 14-day right of withdrawal

Under Chapter 6 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period starts on the day you, or a person you have named (other than the carrier), receive the goods. If your order is delivered in several shipments, the period starts only when you have received the last shipment. Products in the same order may be sent from different places and arrive on different days.

You can withdraw in any of the following ways:

• With the withdrawal function in the online shop. The “Withdraw from contract” button is in the bottom left-hand corner of every page of the online shop and is available throughout the withdrawal period. In the function you give your name, your order number or other details that identify your order, and the email address to which the confirmation will be sent. You then confirm the submission separately. On the Finnish page the button reads “Peruuta sopimus” and on the Swedish page “Frånträd avtalet”.
• With the model withdrawal form. The form is at the end of this policy. You do not have to use it.
• With any other clear statement by email to info@weldstore.fi or by letter to Kirkkomäentie 5, 07880 Liljendal, Finland. Please give at least your name, your order number and the products concerned.

It is enough that you send your notice before the withdrawal period ends.

Confirmation. When you have withdrawn using the withdrawal function, we will send you, without undue delay, a confirmation by email stating the content of your withdrawal and the date and time it was submitted. Please keep the confirmation. We also send a confirmation when you withdraw by email or with the form.

When the right of withdrawal does not apply

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• goods made or modified to your specifications or clearly personalised to your needs, for example hoses and cables cut to length, or garments printed with your own text or image;
• sealed goods which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, for example respirators, filters and earplugs.

Weldstore Streetwear garments are printed to order, but they are standard products from our own collection. They carry the normal 14-day right of withdrawal unless your own text or image has been printed on them.

Returning the goods

Send or bring the goods back to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you told us you were withdrawing. The deadline is met if you send the goods before it expires.

Return address: we will email you the return address once you have told us you are withdrawing.

Return all products to the return address we give you, wherever your parcel was sent from. Do not return a product to the sender's address on the parcel, as the return then cannot be matched to your order and handling is delayed.

Pack the product carefully, preferably in its original packaging, and include your order number or the withdrawal form. Keep your proof of postage, as it shows that you sent the goods in time.

You pay the direct cost of returning the goods. The return cost is the same as the shipping cost you paid for the returned products in your order: for example €9.90 for a parcel, €75 for freight and €550 for heavy equipment transported on a pallet. The same applies to returns from other EU countries.

We will email you return instructions once you have told us you are withdrawing, and we deduct the return cost from the amount we refund. Please contact us before returning goods that go as freight or on a pallet so that we can agree on the transport.

Refunds

We will refund all payments received from you, including the original delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your notice of withdrawal.

We refund delivery costs in full, up to the price of the cheapest standard delivery we offer. If you chose a more expensive delivery method, we do not refund the extra cost.

If you withdraw from only part of an order, we refund the price of the products concerned. If the delivery cost of the order would have been lower without those products, we also refund the difference.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have shown that you have sent them, whichever happens first.

We refund you using the same payment method you used for the order, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. The refund costs you nothing.

Diminished value

You may examine the product as you would in a shop: open the packaging, inspect the product and check its characteristics and how it works. Opening the packaging does not remove your right of withdrawal.

However, you are liable for any diminished value of the goods if you have handled them more than is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. For welding products this includes, for example, using a machine for actual welding work, wear to consumable parts, scratches on the cover lenses of a welding helmet or the product getting dirty through use.

If the value of the goods has diminished, we deduct an amount matching the actual loss of value from the refund and tell you the reason for the deduction.

Exchanges

We do not offer a separate right of exchange. If you want a different product, size or model, withdraw from the order as described above and place a new order.

Business customers

Business customers do not have the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Protection Act. Sales between businesses are governed by the Finnish Sale of Goods Act (355/1987) and this policy.

We can take back a product ordered by a business customer if this is agreed with us. The following conditions then apply:

• the return must be agreed with us in advance within 14 days of receiving the goods;
• the product must be unused, undamaged and in its original packaging;
• we charge a handling fee of 15% of the price of the returned product;
• you pay the return shipping;
• we do not take back made-to-measure products or products obtained specially for you that are not part of our standard range.

Inspect the goods when you receive them. Notify us of a defect within a reasonable time of discovering it or of when you should have discovered it, and no later than two years after receiving the goods, unless a warranty provides otherwise. Report transport damage immediately and no later than seven days after delivery, and note the damage on the consignment note.

Faulty products – complaints

If a product is faulty, tell us as soon as possible at info@weldstore.fi. Give your order number, your contact details, the product concerned and as precise a description of the fault as you can. Photos help.

As a consumer, you must notify us of a defect within a reasonable time of discovering it or of when you should have discovered it. Notice given within two months of discovering the defect is always in time.

Our liability for defects under Chapter 5 of the Consumer Protection Act has no fixed time limit: we are liable for as long as the product can reasonably be expected to last. If a defect appears within one year of your receiving the goods, it is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless shown otherwise or unless the presumption is incompatible with the nature of the defect or the goods.

We will repair the defect or replace the product with a fault-free one within a reasonable time and at no cost to you. If repair or replacement is not possible or is not done within a reasonable time, you may claim a price reduction or, if the defect is not minor, cancel the purchase.

If a product is faulty, we do not charge you any return or repair costs. Please wait for our instructions before sending the product so that it does not go to the wrong address.

Always deal directly with us. You do not need to contact the manufacturer or any other supplier.

Warranty

Products carry the manufacturer's or importer's warranty as stated on the product page or in the product documentation. The terms of the warranty, such as its length and what it covers, are set by the warranty provider. Weldstore does not give an additional warranty of its own.

A warranty does not limit your statutory rights. Our liability for defects (Chapter 5 of the Consumer Protection Act) applies regardless of any warranty, including after the warranty period has ended.

Manufacturers' warranties do not usually cover normal wear or consumable parts such as contact tips, gas cups, welding wire, electrodes, cover lenses and filters.

For warranty matters, contact us at info@weldstore.fi. We will handle the matter with the manufacturer or importer on your behalf.

Disputes

Please contact us first so that we can sort the matter out.

If we cannot agree, as a consumer you may refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Before doing so, it is advisable to contact the consumer advisory service of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (www.kkv.fi). If you live in another EU country, you can get advice from the European Consumer Centre in your country (in Finland www.ecc.fi).

Disputes with business customers are settled under Finnish law in the Eastern Uusimaa District Court.

Withdrawal instructions

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. If you ordered multiple goods in one order and they are delivered separately, the withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Wels Oy / Weldstore, Kirkkomäentie 5, 07880 Liljendal, Finland, +358 40 483 0006, info@weldstore.fi) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at www.weldstore.fi (the “Withdraw from contract” button in the bottom left-hand corner of every page). If you use this online function, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email) without undue delay, stating its content and the date and time of submission.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us at the return address we give you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. Please return the goods to this address, wherever your parcel was sent from.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. The cost is the same as the shipping cost you paid for those goods in your order (for example €9.90 for a parcel, €75 for freight and €550 for heavy equipment transported on a pallet).

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

When the right of withdrawal does not apply

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made or modified to your specifications or clearly personalised to your needs (for example hoses and cables cut to length, and garments printed with your own text or image that you gave with the order), or to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed (for example respirators, filters and earplugs).
