WS Plus cylinder Purge cylinder for 10″ pipe. This tool has been developed with double heat-resistant sealing lips. The WS Plus purge cylinder is heat resistant up to 340 °C (max. 1 hour). The tool has a very short purge time, only 2½ minutes for all sizes, which no other tool can offer. The flow rate is 10% of the pipe's inside diameter and 20% when welding titanium. By changing the sealing lips, the same cylinder can be used to weld pipes of three different diameters. The WS Plus has long seals. This ensures that the tool always stays sealed, even when welding bends. Accessories: The WS Plus purge cylinder is suitable for offshore use, and when fitted with the pulling system (accessory) it passes through even several bends in the pipe without problems. When the WS Plus cylinder is pulled through bends, the pull cable always settles on the inside of the bend, which can cause the cylinder to jam. For this reason, a console or pulling ball is recommended. Using the console and pulling ball saves considerable time and effort. For the best user experience, a console, pulling ball and uninsulated pull wire (1715000) are recommended. This centres the pull wire through the bends and eliminates the risk of friction.
