WS Plus cylinder Purge cylinder for 11″ pipe. This tool has been developed with a double heat-resistant sealing lip. The WS Plus purge cylinder is heat-resistant up to 340 °C (max. 1 hour). The tool has a very short purge time, just 2½ minutes for all sizes, which no other tool can offer. The flow rate is 10% of the pipe's inside diameter, and 20% when welding titanium. By changing the sealing lips, the same cylinder can be used to weld pipes of three different diameters. The WS Plus has long seals. This ensures the tool always stays tight, even when welding bends. Accessories: The WS Plus purge cylinder is suitable for offshore use, and when fitted with a pulling system (accessory) it passes through the pipe without problems, even round several bends. When the WS Plus cylinder is pulled through bends, the pulling wire always settles on the inside of the bend, which can cause the cylinder to get stuck. For this reason a console or pulling ball is recommended. Using the console and pulling ball saves a great deal of time and effort. For the best results, a console, pulling ball and uninsulated pulling wire (1715000) are recommended. This centres the pulling wire through the bends and eliminates the risk of friction.
